Lors du Petit Déjeuner des Entrepreneurs du 20 septembre dernier, le Coach de Dirigeant Pierre Cochat citait  une récente étude publiée dans la Harvard Business Review. Les grands axes en étaient que les gagnants des prochaines années seront ceux qui se concentreront sur la croissance, et qui investiront dans le capital humain. En effet, l’amélioration de la performance n’induit au final qu’un gain de 6 %,  … quand l’investissement dans de nouveaux marchés, rachats, nouveaux produits, nouveaux services, innovations pourra générer à lui seul des gains de + 27%.

A cet égard, les patrons de PME ont des défis exigeants à porter : ils doivent définir leurs offres, identifier leurs cibles clients, trouver les bons partenaires,  convaincre des objectifs à atteindre, poser leurs valeurs, gérer leur trésorerie, et – tout cela en manageant leurs équipes et en soutenant leur motivation. Bref la quadrature du cercle bien souvent, et avec le stress de la pression du marché.

C’est pourquoi il était intéressant pendant une matinée d’écouter Pierre Cochat faire des parallèles entre le monde de l’entreprise et le monde du sport de haut niveau : alors qu’un athlète passe du temps à s’entraîner et à récupérer entre les compétitions, le dirigeant d’entreprise manque souvent de temps pour récupérer … Prendre soin de soi, être entouré et écouté devient vital pour maintenir sa performance dans la durée.

Diriger une entreprise, et spécialement dans le Bâtiment, nous dit Pierre Cochat, « c’est savoir évoluer dans un contexte caractérisé par l’augmentation de la vitesse, l’incertitude, la diversité et la complexité. C’est être à la fois le pilote d’un système hautement variable, un médiateur, un stratège en perpétuelle ouverture d’esprit.

C’est pourquoi le Dirigeant doit adopter une posture d’Entrepreneur, c’est-à-dire un état d’esprit qui renouvelle le potentiel de l’entreprise à partir d’une vision co-construite avec son équipe, déclinée en objectifs et actions. »

Inutile de dire combien les Dirigeants connaissent parfois de grands moments de solitude, doutant de leurs ambitions et des risques qui peuvent avoir à courir. C’est à ce titre qu’une discussion réflexive avec un Coach de Dirigeant, à qui l’on va pouvoir exprimer ses questions, confier ses doutes, développer ses analyses et ses alternatives, creuser les conflits éventuels qui peuvent traverser les relations d’équipe, – peut être précieuse et vitale.
